Dr. Eric Monk, MD is a board-certified physician specializing in anesthesiology and interventional pain management at Pierce Street Same Day Surgery. A proud native of Sioux City, IA, Dr. Monk graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 2011. He completed both his medical degree and residency in anesthesiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Personal Life & Community Connection

Returning to his hometown of Sioux City has been a meaningful chapter in Dr. Monk's career. He is an alumnus of Bishop Heelan Catholic High School and completed his undergraduate studies at Colorado College. Dr. Monk is deeply committed to serving his community and values the opportunity to practice medicine where his roots lie.
Outside of work, Dr. Monk enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, and their three children. As a family, they enjoy trips to Okoboji, watching Nebraska football, and gathering with loved ones.
