About Travis Langan, DPM
Dr. Travis Langan is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon with deep roots in the Midwest. Originally from Norfolk, NE, Dr. Langan brings extensive training and a genuine dedication to patient care to his role at Pierce Street Same Day Surgery.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Wayne State College and his medical degree from Des Moines University. He went on to complete a prestigious residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by fellowships at the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center in Columbus, OH, and the world-renowned Ilizarov Institute for External Fixation in Kurgan, Russia.
Expertise in Advanced Foot & Ankle Care
Dr. Langan is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in both Foot Surgery and Hindfoot/Ankle Surgery. His clinical interests include trauma, complex reconstruction, sports medicine, and total ankle replacement. He is also an accomplished researcher, having published over 20 peer-reviewed articles and continuously working on new studies to advance the field.
Life Outside the Operating Room
Dr. Langan is married and has three children: Henry, Jude, and Livia. He enjoys golfing, snowboarding, running, hiking, biking, fishing/hunting, and family time. Dr. Langan has competed in Triathlons and has done RAGBRAI 6 times!
“I really enjoy trauma, reconstruction and sports medicine of the foot and ankle. I specialize in Total Ankle Replacement as well. I also have a passion for research and have published 20+ peer reviewed publications. I’m almost always working on a research project.
What makes me special to the community is that I am a native of Northeast Nebraska and love the area. I have a passion for patient care and I will always take the time to listen and include my patients in their treatment decisions.
